He has unruly black hair and large bright-green eyes and a slightly haunted look at times (which is mostly just how he looks). Harry wears round glasses and has by now learned how to fix them when he breaks them – which happens less frequently now than it did earlier in his life. When he's not in school robes, Harry usually wears Muggle clothes and can't be bothered much with how he looks. (Not that he bothers about the robes either.) Most of his clothes are old and even though he's got some help to fix some of them up a bit, he still wears baggy clothes a lot. He kind of feels comfortable that way as it's what he's used to. Family: Deceased, though he does count Remus and Sirius as living family. Pet(s)/Familiar: Hedwig, a snowy-owl Sexual Orientation: Leaning towards straight (is probably bi and doesn't know yet) Personality: Harry's personality is complex and sometimes contradictory too. His defining features are his courage and his loyalty to those few people he trust and loves. For them he would do almost anything. Harry also has a very strong sense of right and wrong and while he doesn't care much about rules he cares about justice and injustice and would rather adhere to those principles than any established rule or law. This, of course, gets him on a strong collision course with any kind of authority and he has a talent for getting in trouble. Compared with this is his lack of trust and lack of reliance on other people – especially adults. Harry has been taught all his life to never ask questions and to instinctively distrust authorities and grown-up people. Teachers are not his favourite persons in the world as a rule and will only very rarely be able to get close to him. He's not the best of students, being a bit lazy as teenagers tend to be and he's a bit above average in most subjects except from Defence against the Dark Arts where he excells. His grand failure is Potions, Divination and History of Magic – mostly because the way these three are taught just doesn't agree with him. Another important thing to know about Harry is that he feels everything very strongly, as if his emotions are always turned all the way up. There are no middle grounds for him and this flows into his tendency to see things a little too black and white. He is also stubborn when he wants to be and when he sees what he must do he'll go for the goal and nothing save for the safety of his loved ones will deter him – and if that is what is at stake, then he will back down at nothing. Compared with his sometimes volatile temper, this can be explosive. Harry isn't too good at planning things out. He will try, but usually his plans work up until the point where something unforeseen happens and then he'll have to improvise. And this is where he really excells. He's fast on his feet and a quick thinker and he is amazing in situations where he has to act and not think. When the situations are reversed he will get stuck, stall and often run his head against walls. And if he's got an idea or an instinct about something, he will stick to it even when there is overwhelming evidence to the contrary. Strengths: Flying-skills, fast thinker, good reflexes, strong feelings, clear sense of justice, loyalty and courage Weaknesses: Academic perseverance, careful planning, reading other people's feelings (and his own), too strong feelings, righteousness, single-mindedness and temper. Has a habit of trying to save people and of trying to stop Voldemort from whatever he's doing. History: Harry's life will be pretty well known to most who read here, not that Harry ever talks about his life before Hogwarts or his summers. Since he doesn't know Ron, he's spent his summers at the Dursley house entirely, meaning that especially the summer before his second year was very miserable! Before third year he did in fact inflate Aunt Marge and escaped to Diagon Alley. And this year, the best so far, he's been spending part of the summer with Remus and even been to the Quidditch World Cup with him! Harry thinks this is absolutely brilliant! His school years have been much as "expected" too. Neville and Hermione helped him get past the seven obstacles in first year and went with him to the Basilisk's lair in second year. In third year, he and Hermione took a time-turner trip together and got both Buckbeak and Sirius out of a big problem. Now he's back at Hogwarts and for reasons completely beyond him, he's now stuck doing this Tournament that looks like it might just be the thing to end him.
